Lineas is one of the largest private rail freight operators in Europe.

They employ approximately 2,100 passionate colleagues with an annual turnover of almost 500 million euros.

The project:

  • 109 Onboard Units fitted in Lineas’ operated fleet, i.e. in 109 locomotives, ETCS certified, to be operated in Belgium, but also, for part of this fleet, to be operated in Netherlands and Germany.

    Authorized First In Class BE expected in 2024, and authorized First In Class BE/NL/DE expected in 2025.

  • 10 years product maintenance including unlimited ERTMS Baselines upgrade

The Signalling Company was originally created on April 1st 2019 as a joint-venture between two Belgian companies: ERTMS Solutions, an industry leader in railway testing, maintenance and systems integration, and Lineas S.A. The Signalling Company majority stake was acquired on February 20, 2023 by Skoda Group.

Led by a seasoned team of entrepreneurs and railway experts, and run with a clear objective of customers satisfaction in a family minded team, The Signalling Company has already started to make a difference.
